Fast & Furious

A man approached her at a quickened pace. He really wanted what she had to offer.

“They are always anxious, these customers,” Linnie thought. The restless man stood right in front of her, waiting for her to begin her service.

“Okay, sir. May I have it, please?” she asked politely.

She bent down. With his towering figure overshadowing her, she flexed her hands, and commenced her duty.

Her experienced hands tore open the layers obstructing her from it. The man watched in awe. It was quick work.

“They like it done fast,” she thought again, smiling.

Once the layers were out of the way, she reached in, and there it was, resting in a corner, waiting eagerly for her smooth fair hand to liberate it from the dark, tight, confined pocket it was in. She caressed it, trying to get a firm grip. She then yanked it out and unfolded it in one swift move. She squeezed it…

….against the proof of purchase she had cut out, and stapled them together. Next, she passed the warranty card that she removed from the box to be filled by the man who was the proud owner of the new Samsung LCD monitor.

I went to PC Fair again on Sunday. The night before, my old scanner broke down, so my dad decided to get a replacement. Got a Brothers hybrid scanner/printer/fax machine that has 4 separate ink tanks and offers a scanning resolution of up to….

…as much as I would like to call myself a techie (not a TREKKIE; don’t insult my intelligence), I have absolutely no interest in the specs of an office solutions hardware…

Just got it because we needed it and the hybrid was cheaper than a Canon standalone scanner. Nuff’ said.

While my parents went to the redemption counters, I dropped by the Samsung counter to visit Sue Lin. Her skill in doing the job has improved by leaps and bounds since Friday. I mean…. You know what? Why not you be the judge.

Task:
1. Cut off Proof of Purchase sticker from box.
2. Remove warranty card from inside of box
3. Reseal box.


(Task 1 to 3: 29 seconds)

4. (Not in video) Staple proof of purchase and warranty card and pass to the customer to be filled. This step took like only 3-4 seconds.

That’s Boss for you.

However the actually achieved 21 seconds for ALL FOUR STEPS! That left me gawking in awe, until i forgot to record it.

Miss C & PC

On Friday after marketing tute & editorial meeting. I flew back to Shamelin Perkasa, Cheras. 20 mins. Top speed: 130km/h.

For what? Miss C! She’s back from the US (went there to study). Also met up with SBS pals, and Mandy.

Took her for a spin (quite literally spinning with the tyres screeching) in my Getz. Will await the time when I can finally ask her out… (with succession)

*Cough! Cough!*

Anyways…

Later, after saying goodbye to Miss C and Mandy, I went to PC Fair.

Jat & And accompanied me. I then Sue Lin whow as working at the Samsung redemption booth (Hall 5). Anyways, here’s what I bought:

Killer Whale Soft Toy – Aquaria (For Sue Lin)
USB Bluetooth (For Cherina)
50 DVD-Rs (For Janet & Rebecca)
2 audio jack adapters (For sis)
Ergonomic mouse pad (For Sue Lin)

Done! Next, the three of us walked to Sungei Wang. Yes. We walked. It was some distance, but it beats cramming into Putra during rush hour and taking an exchange train to get there.


What did we do there? Initial D!! Left for home at around 7.30pm. After my chores, I crashed (only 2 hours of sleep the previous night).

In case you were wondering why I did not buy anything for myself, the simple fact is that, I did not. There’s plenty of stuff there that I want, but I couldn’t think of anything I require. So…. Yahz. Ciaoz.

My Great 19th Birthday

At midnight, SMSes flooded in. My birthday has begun! Sue Lin asked me where I wanted to eat for lunch. As usual, the indecisive me replied ‘anywhere la’. Watched anime until 3.00am before turning in.

Woke up at 6.00am, did the usual routine, then drove to Monash. Slept in the car until 8.00, then went to the foyer. Soon later Akmal arrived. We went to the com lab as I wanted to print out my Marketing work……

Okay fine, shall skip the boring academic parts… teeheehee!

At noon when everything was done, met up with Ian. He gave me a present. We then headed for Pyramid. We then met up with Sue Lin & Ian had lunch at Jack’s Place.

Do not order the set lunch!” was the Boss’ first command. Err. Okay.

So these were the meals we ordered:

Escargots!!

Salmon steak (Sue Lin’s)

Lamb Chop (Dinesh’s)
[It’s a wonder he did not order Fish & Chips this time. It’s kind of his staple meal.]

Beef steak & fish (Mine)

And lastly was Ian’s lamb chop & fish, which looked similar to my dish, so did not snap a pic.

Sue Lin shuddered when the escargots arrived. Apparently, snail_lynn couldn’t stand snails. Anyways, we made her try one. She popped it into her mouth and kinda left it there.


"Chew, Sue Lin! Chew!” us guys went.

Then, to my surprise, this came:

Awwwww, if I had no shame, I would have gone all goo goo gaa gaa and turn gay. Very thankful for these guys (and gal)

Dinesh then left us for Taylors, while I sent Ian & Sue Lin home. But wait a minute! Something was missing… THE PRESENT Ian gave me! I left it at the foyer!

*ashamed & embarrassed*

We dropped by uni to look for it, but to no avail; it was gone. Sobs.

Sue Lin felt sick (and she has a strong feeling that it was the escargots), so we stopped by Ian’s place so she could rest. Later when she woke up and was feeling better, I dropped her home, and headed home myself.

I reached home, changed, then headed to Ang’s place. Chee Weng was there already. The initial plan was to just go pasar malam. But after Kingsley, Jit Hoe & Jatesh had arrived...

Finally! I defeated Jatesh at downhill Irohazaka. His Subaru Impreza STi was no match for my Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IV A-Tune. I went for a few more runs against Chee Weng & Ang. Adrian met up with us.

We were at Berjaya Times Square arcade, enjoying Initial D. =D

Celebrated at Jack's Place which newly opened at Pyramid, where I was forced to eat disgusting escargots and got a terrible stomach upset, which the snails are the highest suspects, and well, Ern left his gift in college, so it couldn't be recovered, but well maybe we could check lost and found.

So, wish ya all the best in your future upcomings, and don't worry bout the present k. It's replaceable. Hehehe..

So anyways, what happened to the cars? Well, I haven't been in the car mood for awhile... reason being that there hasn't been any new exciting cars to talk about recently (DBS from Casino Royale? Blek) ... plus haven't test driven any rides too. (the Proton Savvy is not worth mentioning for now... still under state of shock after experiencing its terrible drivetrain...)

SO lets shift the focus back to the EkEL, shall we? No? Then go somewhere else...

Owkay, shall explain my past two posts.. the Angel of Death post is REAL. Maybe a little hyperboled at some parts, but I did not make it up. the I Miss You post is directed to the fella upstairs.. so for those that perasan-ted.. sorry to burst ur bubble(s)... =P

Past weeks? Nothing special in terms of FIT. FIT hasn't gone out in awhile now... need to do so soon before linnie chop our heads off... outings are considered homages to Her Bullet-train-tress-ness...

Had a pasar malam outing last Tue with Pasar Road pals.... hisashiburi dana, so it was kinda like a reunion.
